IMPERSONAL IT AND INTRODUCTORY THERE

It divided into two

•         Personal It as a pronoun (could change s/o)

            e.g. Nikken borrowed my pen, I gave it yesterday.

•         Impersonal It  has function refers as a time, weather, distance and identification.

            the pattern of impersonal it is

                        it + be + adj/adv/noun

1. Impersonal it introduces

            e.g. It is Monday and tomorrow is Tuesday

                         It is seven o’clock

2. Impersonal it introduce weather

                e.g. It is raining

                                 It is very hot today

3. Impersonal it introduce distance

                e.g. It is two kilometers from his house to his 

           campus.

4. Impersonal it introduce Identification

                e.g. It is a book

                                 who is it? It is Hart

•          Introductory there is express the existence of things, usually with the location.

                the pattern of Introductory there

                                there +be/aux + noun/pronoun

                e.g. there is a new car in front of the gate

                                  there will be many girls watching the film

                                  there are new books in the library

* Note: To be that is used with noun /pronoun which are follow, singular or plural and depends on the tenses.
